You don't have to be super close to your siblings to appreciate your relationship with them. Because no matter how annoying they can be sometimes, you can always have it worse, like the sister in the story below.

This older sister has always been extremely spoiled by her parents. A golden child, the first grandchild, whom no one ever said no to. So when she inevitably found herself drowning in credit card debt, instead of maturely getting herself out of that situation, this 23-year-old sister turned to her parents with demands: Instead of paying for her 19-year-old sister's college tuition, her parents should pay off her debt.

You'd think this demand would be the wake-up call for the parents to stop giving their eldest daughter everything she asks for, but that is not exactly what happened…

    OP Fun-Aide2465 She's actually financially responsible now, thankfully. She still gets handouts sometimes from parents but it isn't as bad as it used to be. I can't tell about credit card debt, we don't really talk much anymore.

    OP Fun-Aide2465 I am now. There have been too many recurring issues between us due to our differences in personalities and values and I love her from a distance because my mental health can't deal with her there

    OP Fun-Aide2465 She has significantly improved, financially responsible now. Still a bit entitled but life taught her to adjust. Thanks for asking! I'm also doing well, and I'm living comfortably.
